We value the diverse perspectives and experiences you bring, and we see inclusivity as an active responsibility we all share. At Dentons, you don’t have to choose between a great career and an inclusive workplace. We are committed to implementing best practices to foster inclusive hiring, development, advancement and retention of talent. As the world’s largest law firm, the unique views and backgrounds of our people are essential to our success.
Affinity Groups: Dentons’ Asian, Black, Disability/Accessibility, Hispanic/Latinix, LGBT+, Native American, Parents/Carers and Veterans Affinity Groups help foster an inclusive culture by supporting the professional advancement of their members through networking, mentoring, training and business development opportunities.
WomenLEAD (Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Advancement and Development): Provides tools and opportunities to help women develop and advance. The national and local WomenLEAD Committees arrange networking opportunities, training programs, and business and client development events to help women succeed in the profession.
Allyship: Colleagues from all offices and all job functions come together in “Allyship Pods” throughout the year. Through these small-group learning and discussion sessions, participants challenge their own biases, share their personal experiences and take part in exercises to become better allies. Pods are designed for participants from all backgrounds, offices, practice groups and titles to engage in self-reflection and storytelling sessions focused on topics such as Microaggressions, Covering, Cultural Competency, Intersectionality and more.
Diversity and Inclusion events: We host internal events to celebrate cultural heritages, foster inclusive conversations with our employees and clients, and raise awareness of diversity and inclusion issues and topics firm-wide. We also annually host the Navigating to Big Law event, designed to educate underrepresented law students about careers in Big Law.
