We value the diverse perspectives and experiences you bring, and we see inclusivity as an active responsibility we all share. At Dentons, you don’t have to choose between a great career and an inclusive workplace. We are committed to implementing best practices to foster inclusive hiring, development, advancement and retention of our women and diverse talent. The key elements of the diversity and inclusion strategic plan at Dentons include:
Affinity Groups: Dentons’ Asian, Black, Disability, Hispanic/Latinix, LGBT+, Native American, working parents and Veterans Affinity Groups help foster an inclusive culture by supporting the professional advancement of its members through networking, mentoring, training and business development opportunities. Our affinity groups also help us engage, recruit and retain diverse talent, while promoting an inclusive environment where new relationships may develop and flourish.
Women’s Initiatives: Our WomenLEAD initiative provides tools and opportunities to help women develop and advance. The national and local WomenLEAD Committees arrange networking opportunities, training programs, and business and client development events to help women succeed in the profession.
Training: We offer firm-wide training on topics such as unconscious bias and inclusive leadership.
Diversity and Inclusion events: We host internal events to celebrate cultural heritages, foster inclusive conversations with our employees and clients, and raise awareness of diversity and inclusion issues and topics firm-wide. We also annually host the Navigating to Big Law event, designed to educate underrepresented law students about careers in Big Law.
